Imaging Services - MRI Technologist / Full Time / Day Shift
An MRI Technologist operates MRI scanners to create diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort while performing imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Interaction: Explain MRI procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable. Position patients correctly for optimal imaging results.
Equipment Operation: Operate MRI machines to capture high-quality images as per physician instructions. Adjust imaging parameters as necessary to achieve the best results.
Image Review: Review images for quality and accuracy, making initial observations before submitting them to physicians for further analysis.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean MRI equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols. Schedule regular inspections and repairs as needed.
Administrative Tasks: Scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field, with specialized training in MRI technology.
Certification: Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and understanding imaging techniques and safety protocols.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to explain procedures and address patient concerns effectively.
Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety.
