Dale Medical Center Installs New Cardiac Stress Lab

Funds raised and donated to the L.D. McLaughlin capital fund last year's benefit were used to purchase a new cardiac stress lab for Dale Medical Center. The new equipment was recently installed improving our diagnostic capabilities as part of our constant effort to provide first rate health care to the residents of Dale County. The new equipment provides state of the art capabilities such as automatic blood pressure readings, instant arrhythmia capture, and freeze frames on specific areas at any time.

Dr. Dan Alfano, Cardiologist who performs diagnostic testing at DMC is pleased with the new equipment. He stated that the information from the new equipment and other diagnostic testing performed at the hospital is stored into the hospital data storage and he can review it off-site at any time. This is a huge convenience to the physician and also our patients. "With the availability of a cardiologist and state of the art diagnostic equipment, early detection is possible, providing better healthcare for our patients while saving lives," said Vernon L. Johnson, CEO.
