Community Hospice Announces New Chaplain


Community Hospice is proud to announce that Rev. Roger Stone has been hired to serve as their Chaplain. Rev. Stone is a Dale County Resident and has been actively involved in ministry since August 1980. He attended and graduated from the Florida Baptist Theological College in Graceville, Florida. He has remained very active in the Baptist Association serving in several Dale County churches including: Forrest Hills Baptist Church in Daleville, First Baptist Church of level plains, Southside Baptist Church of Ozark and is currently the Pastor of Pinkard Baptist Church where he has served since 2007.

Rev. Stone has been involved in hospice care since 2007 serving as Chaplain, Bereavement Coordinator, and Manager of Volunteer Services. He will continue to serve the patients and families of Community Hospice of the Wiregrass as the Chaplain/ Bereavement Coordinator.

Community Hospice provides holistic end of life healthcare by integrating complementary care with conventional medicine. The Chaplain program offers support and guidance to grieving families when they need it most. The Chaplain works as a liaison with patient, caregiver, and/or family's choice of spiritual advisor in addition to being a trusted friend and pastoral figure.
