Other important information:

To qualify for home healthcare under Medicare, a person must be home bound, under the care of a physician, and in need of skilled services on a intermittent basis. Intermittent home care services are those which are only needed a few hours per day. A patient does not have to be bedridden or totally confined to the home to qualify for Medicare reimbursement. The patient is considered "homebound" if he or she is unable to leave the home without considerable and taxing effort.
