DMC Approved for Cardiac Catheterization Lab Construction
(May, 2013) Dale Medical Center has received approval to construct a new Cardiac Catheterization Lab for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac disease. Since 1998 Dale Medical Center has been utilizing a mobile unit to perform advanced testing. When the new Cardiac Catheterization Lab is completed, physicians will be able to better diagnose medical disorders - including peripheral vascular, cardiovascular, neurological diseases and other conditions.
"The lab will allow patients to receive advanced diagnostic testing closer to home," said Vernon Johnson, CEO. "As Dale Medical Center continues to look at additional services to better serve our community, this was a much needed expansion of the Cardiology program. It is a major step in the hospital's goal of providing local access to advanced medical services." Construction is underway and is expected to be completed by fall, 2013.
